Joint National Integration Center (JNIC) Joint National Integration Center (JNIC)
The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Joint National Integration Center (JNIC) provides a dedicated environment where warfighter operational concepts are developed and confirmed. Decision makers rely on the JNIC for support in resolving integration and interoperability issues related to missile defense.

The nation's ballistic missile defense system consists of numerous sensors, weapons, and command and control components in an integrated, network-centric architecture. Components in air, land, sea, and space work together seamlessly to defend the United States, its forward deployed troops, and allies from enemy missile attack.

Joint Warfighting Center Joint Warfighting Center
The United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) provides worldwide training and support in preparing integrated and interoperable forces for joint and multinational operations. The JWFC also manages and integrates joint-capable models and simulations and is a leader in developing joint doctrine and joint training initiatives.

As prime contractor, Northrop Grumman provides program management support, designs multinational training exercises and demonstrations, supports and monitors execution of training, and analyzes the results. The JWFC applies the concept of continuous improvement to enhance capabilities in all elements of joint warfare, including the political and diplomatic aspects of joint and multinational operations.

Land Forces/Digitized Battlefield

Land Forces/Digitized Battlefield Land Forces/Digitized Battlefield
Northrop Grumman is assisting the US Army in gaining the technological edge needed to win on the battlefield of the 21st century by replacing paper maps and voice radio communications with digital systems.†During the first phase of the FBCB2 program, the Army conducted an advanced warfighting experiment that verified its hypothesis that providing situational awareness and timely data on friendly and enemy locations enables quicker and better tactical decision-making. In the second phase of this program, Northrop Grumman is enhancing functionality of FBCB2 software and hardware, and is serving as the systems engineer and integrator for the Army's digitization initiatives.

Geospatial Imagery and Systems (GIS) Geospatial Imagery and Systems (GIS)
Geospatial Imagery and Systems (GIS) solutions integrate geospatial information and applications from federal, state, and local sources. These applications provide visual analysis of patterns, relationships, and trends that enable analysts to understand, manage, track, and respond to potential threats and emergency situations.

ICBM Systems Management ICBM Systems Management
A world-class integrator of complex, mission-critical systems and networks, Northrop Grumman has been involved in the US ballistic missile program for nearly 50 years, helping to shape the aerospace and defense industry, and establishing an unparalleled reputation for excellence in systems engineering. As the prime contractor, Northrop Grumman is chartered with maintaining readiness of the nation's ICBM weapon systems by ensuring the total system performance.

Kinetic Energy Interceptor Kinetic Energy Interceptor
The Kinetic Energy Interceptors (KEI) program will give the United States significant defensive capability against enemy missiles in their most vulnerable stage—the boost/ascent phase of flight—before re-entry vehicles, decoys, or counter measures can be deployed. Northrop Grumman is the prime integration contractor for the KEI effort, a critical element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System. KEI consists of three components: a mobile launcher, an interceptor missile, and command and control battle management and communications (C2BMC) sub-systems. It is deployable anywhere in the world using US military aircraft.
